Do you struggle with Chronic Illness? Do you feel like no one understands you and you’re all alone even with people around you? Are you tired of feeling guilty for not being able to control what your body does? Are you overwhelmed with Doctors, nurses, needles, tests, and medications? Do you get frustrated with feeling like the doctors and nurses do not listen to you?

If any of these are true for you then Surviving Chronically is the blog for you!!!

Surviving Chronically is where I am going to share my struggles and triumphs that I have experienced over the last 11 years and continue to deal with every day.

You’re probably thinking “That sounds great, but who are you and what do you know about Chronic Illness?”

First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Patricia Crislip a Virginia born country girl who loves a dirt road.  I am a happily married mother of 5 that range in age from 11 to 19. I also have the cutest pit bull there is (ok I may be a little partial but look how cute he is!)

Admittedly, I am pretty boring. My idea of a good time is curling up with a book and a fuzzy blanket. Or binge watching a show on Netflix. (I am always looking for suggestions of good books and Netflix shows so if you have any please drop them in the comments)

I firmly believe that cannabis is medicine and is getting a bad wrap from many people who do not understand it. I hope to one day see everyone understand the healing properties that cannabis has on many levels. I know that cannabis is a taboo subject and is still illegal federally however I believe that if people like me are not willing to speak up and ask everyone to do their research before assuming then cannabis will always be criminalized and people will be scared to try a legitimate medicine that might change their lives for the better. I know that may turn some people off and make you not want to read my blog but I ask that you hear my story first. (Click on story to see the video explaining my chronic conditions and how I got to where I am today medically.) Please excuse me being nervous LOL!!

I hope that with Surviving Chronically I can show you that you are not alone and that I understand what it’s like to feel hopeless and helpless at the same time. That you are not alone in feeling like you just don’t know how you are going to go on anymore. Furthermore, I hope that Surviving Chronically is a place where we can end the stigma surrounding chronic illnesses. We can show others that someone with a chronic condition is not automatically lazy or faking it. But above all of that I want this blog to be a place where we all gain strength and find peace in our truths together.

Join me as I share how I survive this crazy life chronically!
